Bronx Community Garden
This 15,500 sf community garden, the largest owned by Bette Midler’s non profit organization the New York Restoration Project, serves its South Bronx community in many diverse ways.

This Target funded garden renovation maximizes the needs for the wide variety of users. The dedicated groups of community gardeners now have raised beds to continue growing local produce. New pear and peach trees and a berry patch adds to the locally grown produce. An outdoor kitchen allows the residents to enjoy their harvest on site. The rich biodiversity in native plant material provides excellent multi-educational opportunities for the elementary school across the street.
